DIY Summer Dog Treats

For Pet Week, along with a sale going on right now...I will be showing you how to make frozen dog treats! It's a super easy recipe and dogs love them, I promise! We had a dog in the office today and she couldn't get enough of them!

Here is what you will need:

  • Bananas
  • Creamy Peanut Butter (get the organic kind!)
  • Coconut Oil (slightly softened)
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Big Spoon
  • Silicone Baking Mold (optional)
I used a dog bowl with cute little paws on it for my mixing bowl just to be cute! And the silicone baking mold is optional because after you have mashed your mixture, you can pipe it into the mold to make a cute shape. I did not have a mold on hand so I just piped mine onto plastic wrap.

Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mash it up until it looks like this...

Then take a baggie and and pour the mixture into the baggie. Be careful, it can get sticky!
Cut the tip off the baggie and use it as a makeshift pipette. This is where you can use a mold if you would like. I just piped the mix onto plastic wrap in layers (so mix, wrap, mix, wrap...) and then you stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours!

The coconut oil is great for dogs fur, (makes it shiny) and your dog will love the peanut butter and banana taste.

Be brave,
kat
